¡Hola de nuevo! La cuenta atrás al lanzamiento de abril de MFT continua y he vuelto para compartir una colorida tarjeta, inspirada en México

It features a couple of adorable critters from the JB Friends Who Fiesta stamp set. After stamping and die cutting them with the matching dies, I colored them with the following Copic markers: R39, R37, R35, BG05, BG02, BG01, E37, E35, E33, YR27, YR24, YR21, Y17 and Y15.

Next, I went to work on the background, which I wanted to resemble a Mexican «sarape» or «zarape», a traditional blanket-like shawl or cloak. I started by cutting strips of different widths out of the following colors of card stock: Wild Cherry, Lemon Drop, Summer Splash and Blue Beyond. After adhering them to a piece of printer paper I used the largest die from the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics to cut my panel.

After that I added some nice fabric texture with the Touch of Texture Background and I love the result! I’ll definitely use this technique again for another card. I then stamped the sentiment on a circle cut with the Stitched Pinking Edge Circle STAX Die-namics.

I hope you enjoyed my card! Please visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team. Viva Mexico!
