Adornos de Navidad para MFT.

¡Hola! Hoy me paso por aquí para mostraros unos divertidos adornos de Navidad, creados con «shaker pouches» para el November Hits & Highlights de MFT.

This month we were challenged to use shaker pouches to create see-through holiday ornaments. For the first ones, I chose the Message in a Bottle Shaker Pouches.

I stamped the cute Santa from the ‘Tis the Season set and the snowman from the BB Present Time to put inside of them. I also added some chunky white glitter and small sequins and beads. To adhere the two shaker pouches together, I used Score-Tape.

Next I trimmed part of the plastic edge with my scissors and decorated the outside with a piece of silver string and a banner from the Gift Tag Die-namics die cut out of Red Hot Card Stock. The simple sentiment, which I heat embossed in white, is also from the  ‘Tis the Season set.

Lastly, I die cut a couple of corks out of Kraft Card Stock and added them to my see-through ornaments to complete them. But I wasn’t finished yet…

Space-themed Christmas ornament

Last week I created THIS cute interactive space-themed card (with a tutorial) and I had some left over elements that I wanted to use… Here’s the result:

Space-themed Christmas ornament (from a series of three ornaments).

The mini space shuttle is from the Best Friends in the Universe set. Last week, I stamped it on a piece of frosty shrink plastic with StazOn ink and colored it with Prismacolor pencils. Then I die cut it with a matching die and shrank it with my heat gun.

I did the same with the planets from the BB Space Explorer set. Next, I adhered one of the Classic Snow Globe Shaker Pouches (with all of the shaker elements inside) to a left over space background with Score-Tape and trimmed around the edge with my scissors.

To finish the ornament, I added silver string, a bow (it would have looked awesome in red) a red sentiment banner and a snowglobe base, die cut out of Silver Shine Card Stock with one of the dies from the Classic Snow Globe Die-namics. That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed my see-through Christmas ornaments!
