(Siento el retraso en la traducción) Hi there! It’s time for my last post of the month and I’m sharing a colorful sunset card for WSC509 at the MFT Blog.
Sketch challenges are always a great way to get those cretive juices flowing and to learn new ways of placing the main elements of a project. Last week, by chance, I created THIS clean and simple card with an almost mirror version of the sketch below.
The large circle of this week’s sketch, made me think of a setting sun, so I created my own stencils with MFT dies and grabbed a bunch of Premium Dye Inks, to ink blend the colorful sunset. I also used the Micro Cloud Edges Stencil, to add some realism to it.
Next, I die cut the piece of ocean out of Blue Breeze Prestige Card Stock using, first one of the dies from the Ocean Motion Die-namics, and then the above mentioned one.
I needed some flying critters for my card and ended up choosing the hilarious sheep from the BB Birthday Buds and the little bird from the BB Sunflower Sweetheart sets, which I colored with Copic markers.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment, from the Greetings & Salutations stamp set, with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, on a hand cut banner of Smooth White Card card stock. I adhered it on top of a black one, creating a nice shadow effect.
