For the mechanism, I combined dies from the Peek-a-Boo Wheel Die-namics and Interactive Swing Die-namics to create a sort of ferris wheel movement… Check it out in the video clip below!

My experience with a hot air balloon

It’s so easy to make and it doesn’t take very long at all! Before I tell you a little more about the card, let me just share that I actually got to fly in a real hot air balloon back in ’92. It was during my exchange student year in Albuquerque!

That’s my French friend Sarah to the left and me to the right (at 18), with the grown out bangs and goofy smile.

And here we are in the air surrounded by hot air balloons during the 1992 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! It was such an amazing experience and I loved every minute of it… even the bumby landing!

Back to the card… I used the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink to create the cloudy sky background. I then die cut it with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

Next, I partly stamped the image, to get rid of the hanging bear. I then diecut it with the matching die and colored it with the following Copic markers: R01, E55, E53, E51, R37, R35, YR68, YR65, YR61, Y17, Y15, Y13, G07, G05, G03, B02 and B01.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sky High Friends stamp set in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and as a last touch, I added some Clear Round Drops. Hoepfully you enjoyed my card… please visit the MFT Blog for more info about the MFT July «Sky High Friends» Card Kit.
